BOOKING POLICIES

We accept instant confirmation online bookings.

1. CANCELLATION POLICY: Off-peak, peak & peak-plus seasons: If you believe your travel may be cancelled, we strongly recommend you keep in regular communication with Ocean Beach Management.

 

1.1 CANCELLATIONS ‘OFF-PEAK’ SEASON: Cancellations or changes made up to 48 hrs before check in time of 2pm on day of reservation are without charge. A late change, cancellation or no-show may result in a fee of 1 night’s tariff or more.

 

1.2 CANCELLATIONS ‘PEAK’ SEASON (23rd Dec to 26th Dec & 4th Jan to 30th Jan - plus other selected periods): Cancellations or changes made up to 7 days before check in time of 2pm on day of reservation are without charge. A late change, cancellation or no-show may result in a fee of 1 night’s tariff or more.

 

1.3 CANCELLATIONS ‘PEAK-PLUS’ SEASON (27th December to 3rd January): Cancellations or changes made up to 30 days before day of reservation are without charge. A late change, cancellation or no-show may result in a fee of 1 night or more.

OTHER POLICIES

 

1.5 GROUP BOOKINGS: 30 days email notice is required for cancellations or amendments of Group Bookings (3+ Units). Under these conditions, we reserve the right to charge a fee equivalent to the tariff of the entire stay.

1.6 DEBT COLLECTION: If Ocean Beach Motor Lodge is not compensated according to the above-mentioned cancellation policies, the debt may be pursued through a debt collection agency.

 

2.0 REFUNDS: If a refund is approved, the refund may take up to 6 weeks to process.

 

3.0 CREDIT CARD & PAYWAVE SURCHARGES: If a credit card or Paywave is used to pay for your reservation, a surcharge will apply. Credit cards incur an additional 2% and Paywave incurs an additional 2% on top of the total transaction amount. Whichever is greatest will be charged.

 

4.0 HEALTH: If you have any cold, flu and/or Covid symptoms please do not travel. Management has the right to turn away a visibly sick person for the safety of staff and guests.

 

5.0 NO PARTIES: Ocean Beach Motor Lodge attempts to minimise any disruption to guests by having a strict NO PARTIES policy. This also includes noisy gatherings in the courtyards. Courtyards must be cleared by 9pm. If Management detects any disruptive behaviour they reserve the right to evict guests responsible for this behaviour. When returning to the complex from town or elsewhere, please do so quietly.

 

6.0 VISITORS: ALL visitors must sign in at reception. Visitors are permitted at the Manager's discretion and must leave prior to 9pm. Failing to do so will result in an additional charge for the visitor with responsibility for payment lying with the registered guest.

 

7.0 SMOKE FREE POLICY: All units are "Smoke-Free". If you smoke in your unit, you will be charged the equivalent of one night’s tariff.

 

8.0 COOKING SMELLS: If strong smelling foods have been cooked inside your unit and the smell remains after you leave, you may be charged the equivalent of one night’s tariff.

 

9.0 DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR THEFT: Damage to motel property or theft of property will be charged accordingly. Theft from a unit or the complex will incur a charge via the Police.

 

10. EXTRA GUESTS: Non-registered extra adult guests (12+ years) will incur a $50 per night charge. Extra children (11 years and under) will incur a $30 per night charge. If additional guests mean room capacity is exceeded, Management reserves the right to ask additional guests to leave or cancel the reservation.

 

11. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of accompanying guests while on the property. The cost of any damage to property or theft incurred will be charged to the registered guest.

 

12. Deposits: Management reserves the right to seek a deposit prior to check in date.

 

13. CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION POLICY: Management may charge a $1 pre-authorisation charge on credit card used for booking to verify payment details. If charged, the $1 will be deducted from the final account.

 

14. PETS: There is a NO PETS ALLOWED policy at our establishment. Additional charges will apply.

 

15. ELECTRIC VEHICLES: Charging of electric vehicles is not permitted. Additional charges will apply.

GIFT VOUCHER BOOKINGS

 

Gift vouchers must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase, as indicated on the gift certificate. No extensions will be granted after the expiry date.

​

To redeem a voucher, please call Ocean Beach and provide the voucher number. The voucher must be presented at check-in. Please note that any additional nights booked will incur extra charges.

​

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable. Any unused balance will not be refunded, and change will not be provided.

​

The full value of the voucher must be used in a single reservation.

 

Ocean Beach is not responsible for lost or stolen gift vouchers.
